STOUGHTON (CBS) – The driver of the box truck that struck and killed a 3-year-old in Stoughton on Friday is not likely to face any charges.

Police now say they believe the victim, 3-year-old Shayla Lutz of Stoughton, ran into the side of the truck.

The young girl was crossing Central Street on Friday afternoon with her mother and another child in a stroller when witnesses say she ran ahead and was hit.

The accident did not take place near a crosswalk.
