FOXBORO (CBS) – Troy Brown was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday. He is just the 18th player, and the 19th person to be inducted.
His induction marks only the second time a player was voted in during his first year of eligibility. Drew Bledsoe accomplished the feat last year.
“Troy Brown is the ultimate team player and one of the greatest competitors I have ever had the privilege of coaching,” said head coach Bill Belichick in a statement. “Offense, defense, special teams – if there was a job to do, Troy embraced it and did it at a championship level.”
Brown played for the Patriots in all 15 seasons of his NFL career.
