BOSTON (CBS) – The state Supreme Judicial Court has dismissed lawsuits filed by seven Massachusetts hospitals and a managed healthcare organization that claimed they were shortchanged by the state’s 2006 health care law.
Those hospitals, which include Boston Medical Center, are primarily responsible for the care of patients who are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and other government programs.
They claim the state violated its obligation to reimburse them for reasonable costs associated with providing services to those covered under MassHealth.
