Red Sox owners Larry Lucchino, John Henry and Tom Werner talk with the media in Fort Myers, Florida before the Red Sox first full squad workout of 2012.
A report surfaced from Fox Business Network that the owners of the Boston Red Sox were reportedly mulling a potential sale of the team. The report said that they have even been meeting with potential buyers.
After the report came out owner John Henry vehemently denied that they were considering a sale of the team.
Gresh and Zo speculate whether or not there’s something to the report and whether Henry is trying to cover.
Was the blockbuster move just last month, dealing first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, outfielder Carl Crawford and pitcher Josh Beckett to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a crop of prospects and, mainly, salary relief a move to make the team more attractive to a potential buyer?
