Endocrinologists Offer Tips For Detecting Thyroid Cancer Early

BOSTON (CBS) - There has been a three-fold increase in thyroid cancer cases in the U.S. the past 12 years.

The fact that it's one of the most curable cancers if treated early is prompting experts to speak up.

Vice President of American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Dr. Mack Harrell recommends doing a neck check as part of your morning routine. Perhaps after you shave or put on make-up, swallow some water as you look in the mirror to see if there are any lumps below the adam's apple.
