BOSTON (CBS) – Preparations have begun as New England Aquarium prepares to renovate their centerpiece giant ocean tank.
Aquarium officials have started moving a number of their animals into temporary enclosures, including their 560-Pound Sea Turtle, Myrtle.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Karen Twomey reports
Myrtle is 80 years old, and has spent half her life in the Aquarium’s Giant Ocean Tank.
She’s staying in the penguin enclosure while the repairs are underway.
The renovation will take nine months and cost $17 million.
