MLB Insider Jon Heyman called in to talk baseball with Dan Shaughnessy, Gresh & Zo as the Red Sox prepare to host the Yankees for a three games series.

At this point in the season Sox fans really couldn’t care less is seems, but this series means something for New York. It’s a tight race for first place as the Yankees are only one game ahead of the Orioles at the top of the Eastern Division standings.

The Yankees have slipped from what was a ten game lead are they trying to fight off a collapse? If they missed the playoffs would it be as bad a collapse as the Sox had last year?

It’s also a tight race with the White Sox and Tigers, who will win the AL Central?
