Malden Schools Locked Down Briefly After Late Morning Shooting

MALDEN (CBS) – All Malden public schools were locked down for about an hour late Monday morning after a shooting in the city.

A man was shot near Warren and Eastern Avenue just before 11 a.m.

He was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital.

There’s no word yet on his condition.

Police locked down the schools until noon as a precaution while they searched for the shooter.

A suspect was arrested.

No other information has been released at this point in the investigation.
