BOSTON (CBS) – The Patriots added four more players to their inactive list Sunday morning as they get ready to kick off the 2012 season against the Titans in Tennessee.
Defensive ends Jake Bequette and Justin Francis, defensive lineman Marcus Forston, and tight end Daniel Fells are all inactive, joining a trio of Patriots that were downgraded earlier in the week.
Three players were ruled out prior to Sunday morning: offensive lineman Nick McDonald (shoulder) and rookie cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (hamstring) — who were downgraded Saturday evening — and running back Shane Vereen — who was ruled out Friday afternoon.
Both McDonald and Dennard were listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report. McDonald returned to practice late this week after missing nearly two weeks with a shoulder injury. Dennard missed three weeks of camp with a hamstring injury, but was just added to the injury report on Friday.
Of Sunday’s inactives, Fells was the only one to appear on the injury report. He was listed as questionable with a shin injury after having limited participation in practice all week.
