West Bridgewater Man Killed By Wrong-Way Driver On Mass Pike

LUDLOW (CBS) - State Police have identified two people who were killed in a crash on the Mass. Turnpike Friday night.

Troopers say Clarence Lux, 84, of New Britain, Connecticut was driving the wrong way when he slammed head-on into a car driven by Robert Magee, 28, a former Marine from West Bridgewater. Both drivers were killed.

Two other cars were involved in the crash. None of those occupants were hurt.

State Police said they had received numerous calls for a wrong way driver before the crash, but Troopers were not able to get there in time.

At this point, State Police do not know why Lux was travelling the wrong way on the highway.
