BOSTON (CBS) –Boston University hockey players brought kegs into the locker room, skated naked on the ice, and had sex in the penalty box during a late-night party at Agganis Arena following their 2009 National Championship, according to a report in Friday’s Boston Globe.
The details, were left out of a scathing public report on the team’s culture and behavior.
Hockey coach Jack Parker, campus police, and school administrators all denied finding out about the party until a task force uncovered the information this year.
The university had commissioned that task force to look at the team after two players were accused of sexual assault in a three-month span this winter. One player pleaded guilty to reduced charges while charges were dropped against another.
The report, which was released earlier this week, found a culture of “sexual entitlement” exists among some of the school’s men’s ice hockey players.
The task force documents reportedly noted that some BU hockey players had “the perception that they need not seek consent for sexual contact.”
