Family ID's Westboro EEE Victim
WESTBORO (CBS) - Family members have identified a Worcester County man who died of Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
Westboro resident 79-year-old Benjamin Duce died earlier this month, according to his son.
Health officials think Duce was exposed to the mosquito-borne virus during the first week of August.
This is the second human case of EEE in the state this year. Health officials announced Friday that a Worcester man died after contracting West Nile Virus.
Duce leaves behind a wife of 56 years, two daughters, a son, and six grandchildren.
