DUXBURY (CBS) – Two women told police they were attacked in separate incidents while jogging in Duxbury Thursday morning.
The first assault happened along Powder Point Avenue near Russell Road between 9:30 and 10 a.m.
The victim claimed a man snuck up behind her, assaulted her and then ran off.
A short time later, a woman was attacked the same way while jogging on Crescent Street.
“In both cases the victims described the man as a young man (teens to twenties) wearing long cargo styled shorts and a dark colored tee shirt,” police said in a statement.
Officers searched both areas with a police canine but found nothing.
Investigators said they’re also looking into a similar incident on Saint George Street last month.
Police are asking anyone that’s had any “unusual encounters with individuals while jogging” in town to please report them immediately.
