Supervisor At State Drug Lab Placed On Leave
BOSTON (CBS) - A supervisor at the state drug lab in Jamaica Plain is now on leave.
State Police say the worker was responsible for overseeing the work of a chemist who is accused of mishandling evidence.
That chemist, identified as Annie Dookhan, resigned and the state drug lab was shut down until the investigation is complete.
Thousands of criminal cases in Massachusetts could have been jeopardized by the chemist's actions.
State Police say, "There is no evidence suggesting wrongdoing or malfeasance on the part of the supervisor at this time."
