Police: Hyde Park Man Threatened Victims With Blood-Filled Needle

BOSTON (CBS) - A Hyde Park man is accused of threatening two people with a hypodermic needle after they asked him to buy alcohol for them.

Jose Soler, 47, was set to be arraigned on Wednesday.

MBTA Police say the victims, who were both under 21 years old, met Soler at Forest Hills station and offered him $25 to buy them $20 worth of alcohol.

Soler took the money, but didn't buy alcohol with it.

When the victims demanded their money back, Soler pulled out a hypodermic needle, stuck it into his arm, filled it with blood, and threatened to stab the two, according to police.

Soler reportedly told them he was infected with AIDS.

He's charged with Assault with a Dangerous weapon.
