BOSTON (CBS) -The housing market continues its recovery in Massachusetts, with numbers once again up from the previous year.
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors reports that single-family home sales rose 23 percent in July.
That marks the 13th consecutive month of home sale increases in the state.
According to a report by The Warren Group, the sales volume numbers make this the best July since 2005.
On a month-to-month basis, home sales were down 13 percent from June.
Condo sales are also up 23 percent from the same period last year, but down from the previous month.
The median price for a single-family home also rose nearly 2 percent from last year to $325,000. It’s down from last month, when that number was $328,500.
The inventory of single-family homes on the market is also down nearly 20 percent from last year.
