MANSFIELD  (AP) — Massachusetts state police say a 50-year-old New Hampshire man has died when he crashed his motorcycle in Interstate 495.

Police said John Wallace, of Deering, N.H., apparently lost control of his 2009 Harley-Davidson Sunday night when he tried to brake for a traffic jam on the northbound side of the highway near Exit 12 in Mansfield.

Police said Monday that Wallace was returning to his hotel at about 11:35 p.m. after attending a concert at the Comcast Center.

The crash closed the right lanes of the highway for more than two hours.
