Hardy and Mike Flynn filled in for Gresh & Zo today and welcomed CSNNE.com’s Sean McAdam in studio to talk about the Red Sox.

There have been so many stories around this team from Josh Beckett’s golf outing to the players meeting with owners about manager Bobby Valentine.

The latest story involves most players not attending Johnny Pesky’s funeral. The only current players in attendance were Clay Buchholz, David Ortiz, Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Vicente Padilla.

Sean gives his take on the lack of Red Sox player presence at Johnny Pesky’s Funeral. How big a deal is this?

“For as much as we can criticize the owners and upper management I don’t think this is on them for not wagging their fingers and saying, ‘You be here at tomorrow at 11 o’clock and be on that bus or else there are going to be consequences,’ just do the right thing. So the sweeping they’re all horrible for not going is a little much, clearly many more should have gone and the owners didn’t make it important enough, I don’t buy that either.”

What do you think?
