NH Man Confronts Burglary Suspect At Gunpoint

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Police say a Manchester, N.H. man detained a burglary suspect when he saw the man acting suspiciously near his neighbor’s house.

The neighbor told police he was inside his own home when saw the man at the rear of his neighbor’s home. He got his gun and walked over.

Police said he confronted the man inside the rear door of the home Tuesday. The man reportedly slammed the door shut on the neighbor, retreating inside the house.

The neighbor ran to the front of the house and confronted the man as he fled out the front door.

Police said an investigation showed 49-year-old Charles Javery had forced entry into the home through a rear door. He was arrested and charged with burglary.
