BOSTON (CBS) — A casual listen of sports radio on any given afternoon in Boston will inform you that sports fans aren’t exactly enthralled with the Red Sox these days. Now, there’s some hard data to explain just how much they’ve lost faith.

Channel Media & Market Research released results from a poll of 7,236 people this summer, which asked them several questions about the local sports teams. Of the participants, 69 percent were male and 31 percent were female, while all were from one of the six New England states and followed at least one professional sports team.
