We are cruising now…no rain in the forecast for almost a week! Expect more of the same for the rest of this week. Highs today reached the lower 80s and they will continue to gradually climb over the next few days…topping out in the mid to upper 80s especially away from the coast. Closer to the coast, weak seabreezes will lock temps near 80. As for sunshine, there will be plenty…a few clouds here or there but nothing blanketing and exceptionally small chances for a pop-up shower.
This pattern should hold through the weekend, until a coldfront approaches early next week with showers and thunderstorms…it’s passage is most likely on Tuesday.
The tropics are getting active and Tropical Storm Isaac formed today as it closes in on the Windward and Leeward Islands. The National Hurricane Center takes the storm over the Greater Antilles then toward Florida over the weekend. But all locations along the East COast need to monitor the progression of Isaac very closely.
