Humpback Whale Freed Again From Rope In Chatham Harbor

BOSTON (CBS) - A young humpback whale is swimming freely once again, thanks to a rescue team on the Cape.

Some tuna fishermen spotted the whale Saturday afternoon entangled in rope through its mouth and around its body just outside Chatham Harbor.

The Marine Animal Entanglement Response Team came in from Provincetown and cut through the ropes with a 20-foot pole and hook-shaped knife.

The team said they're familiar with this whale, who they named "Hiatus."

They disentangled it at nearly the same spot back in early July.
