ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts State Police have released the name of two elderly people who were killed in a traffic accident in Andover.

A pickup truck and a car collided Friday at the intersection of Route 125 and Wildwood Road.

Police on Saturday named the dead as 72-year-old Joann Eckels, who was driving the car, and 82-year-old James Eckels, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Police declined to disclose their relationship, but said they were both from Andover.

The driver of the truck was identified as 70-year-old John O'Donnell of Boxford. State police said he was not injured.

Investigators are continuing to gather information to determine the cause of the crash.
