Actor and stand up comedian Jim Breuer joined 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich in studio to hang out. Breuer grew up a New York Mets fan and told the guys some stories about Bobby Valentine’s time with his favorite team.
He was pretty good friends with someone on the Mets at the time, so he has some pretty good stories of how Valentine operates. Breuer said that the manager was brought to New York to expose all the “yo-yos” on the team and he thinks the Red Sox did the same thing this year.
The owners knew there was a culture problem with this team and they brought in Valentine to expose the culture problem, thereby giving them an excuse to move those guys.
Do you agree with Breuer’s analysis of what’s going on with the Sox this year?
