ATTLEBORO (CBS) – I-95 was shut down in both directions Thursday afternoon for more than two hours after a crash that took down live high tension power lines in Attleboro.
A tractor trailer traveling northbound struck the sagging wires and stopped. The driver exited the truck and was shocked. He was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

A tanker truck with live power lines wrapped around it was pulled over on I-95 in North Attleboro.
Investigators say a the power lines were sagging because of a structural issue on a utility pole set back from the highway, and a passing truck struck the lines, bringing them down.
State Police initially said that a truck may have struck a pole and took down the wires.
That truck was towed away after the wires were removed.
A tanker truck in the southbound lane also had wires wrapped around it.
At least four other passenger cars were damaged in the incident.
