Karaoke Rage? Man Ends Up With 100 Stitches After Bar Beating

TEMPLETON (AP) — Police say a night of karaoke in a central Massachusetts pub turned violent, landing one man in the hospital and two others in court.

Authorities say the victim was watching a friend sing karaoke in the Candlelite Cafe in Templeton last Friday when Brian Ronn became angry because he thought the man had put his arm around Ronn's girlfriend.

Police say Ronn and William Felone beat the victim with beer bottles.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he received 100 stitches and 32 staples in his head.

The victim said he was resting his arm on the bar when the woman sat down.

Ronn and Felone were arraigned Monday in Gardner District Court on assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charges and released on $5,000 bail after pleading not guilty.
