TEWKSBURY – A Tewksbury family got quite a scare Sunday night when part of a tree came crashing down through their home.
Debi Goodhue said she had heard creaking coming from the woods earlier in the day.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Carl Stevens reports
“I just kept hearing creaks from the trees,” she said. “But I never saw anything so I didn’t really think much of it.”
Around 5:30 p.m., Goodhue and her husband were inside their home when the tree snapped.
“A limb came right through the back hall,” Goodhue said. “The two decks are crushed. Then there are holes in the roof.”
A backyard shed was also damaged.
No one was hurt.
It’s unclear what caused the tree to topple, but storms this weekend may have contributed.
