A microburst hit Taunton on Friday.
TAUNTON (CBS) – The National Weather Service has preliminarily confirmed that that microburst hit part of Taunton during Friday’s storms.
Experts from the NWS conducted a storm survey on Saturday in an area around Tremont and Eldridge Streets in Taunton and determined a microburst that was about 600 feet wide did hit.

The high winds, estimated to be around 75 miles per hour, snapped branches and uprooted several trees.

A few homes and cars sustained damage.
