BOSTON (CBS) — One of the bright spots in last night’s Patriots win was the play of rookie defensive end Chandler Jones.
During the joint practices this week, Saints left tackle Jermon Bushrod said Jones reminded him of Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. Bushrod echoed those thoughts again last night.

“I think he’s going to be a good player in this league. It was a battle out there,” said Bushrod. “I think he has a bright future ahead of him. He definitely looks the part, a good physical specimen.”
Jones forced Bushrod into back-to-back holding penalties. Bushrod said he doesn’t believe they were his fault.
“I didn’t like either one of them,” he said of the penalty calls. “The second one, they said he was going to the ground and I guess they thought I forced him to the ground, but I didn’t.”
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Bushrod was a Pro Bowler last year, his fifth season in the NFL. He’s started all 16 games the past two seasons.
