WBZ London Eye: US Olympic Dream Team

LONDON (CBS) - The WBZ London Eye team was lucky enough to mingle amongst some of the US Olympic elite in the Olympic Park. Today we spotted a few key Olympians from current and past Olympics.

Ryan Lochte shows off gold medal

Ryan Lochte was adorned with his 400 individual medley gold medal.

Gabrielle "Gabby" Douglas was seen with her gold medal from the individual all-around competition. Douglas was promoting her newest accomplishment, she was chosen as the face of Kelloggs Corn Flakes.

Four other Olympians from previous games were also partaking in the revelry of the current champions.

Shawn Johnson, 2008 Individual All-Around silver medalist

Shawn Johnson, the 2008 silver medalist in the individual all-around competition and the only other Americans to win gold in this event, Nastia Liukin, Carly Patterson and MaryLou Retton.

Being around this much gold and talent blurred the lines of reporter and fan. We managed to touch Lochte's gold medal, which can only be described as weighing "a ton"…although three or four pounds is probably a more likely description.

We also toured the Main Olympic Press Center, which caters to thousands of journalists and photographers from around the world. These journalists feed Olympic stories and photographs to the almost 4 billion people worldwide who watch coverage of the Olympics. How's that for a bullpen.
