Josh Beckett left his start on Tuesday night in the third inning due to back spasms. Beckett struck out the first eight batters with ease. But Omar Infante reached on an infield single, Beckett grazed Austin Jackson with a pitch, and then walked the next two batters to give Detroit a 1-0 lead.
Beckett then called for the trainers and eventually left the game as boos rained down from the stands.
Gresh & Zo understand the fans booing, but wonder if it was because the pitcher blew a good performance or because they a just done with his attitude.
The guys also wonder if some of the boos were for ownership for not making any big trades at the deadline, not shipping Beckett out or not addressing the issues this team has had all season?
