LONDON (CBS) – Duxbury native and Northeastern alum Will Miller fell just short of Olympic glory on Wednesday.
The US placed fourth during the final of the Men’s Eight rowing competition.

Massachusetts will be represented on the medal podium. Boston University alum Florian Mennigen helped the German Men’s Eight boat row to gold, narrowly beating out home team Great Britain for first place.

Prior to his London departure, Miller spoke about the importance of the hometown support he’s received from both the Duxbury and Northeastern communities.
