Camper Crashes Into Brockton Pool

BROCKTON (CBS) - A driver who crashed his camper into a pool in Brockton is expected to recover.

Police say the man behind the wheel of the 28-foot RV suffered a medical condition and swerved off North Quincy Street into a backyard pool.

That driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. But, police say it could have been much worse.

Elizabeth Little says her dad, who lives at the home with the pool, heard the crash and ran out to help.

Police say he pulled the driver out of the water.

"He definitely saved the guy. If my dad wasn't out there, it wouldn't have been a good day," Little said.

Little arrived home to find dozens of firefighters and police officers in the yard.

"It's crazy, anxiety is through the roof. It's unbelievable, doesn't make sense," she said.

Little was planning on spending the day at her dad's pool, which now seems out of the question. As of noontime, crews had been on scene for more than two hours and had yet to remove the RV.
They were being careful not to further damage the pool.
