Boston City Councilors Want To Turn Payphones Into Wifi Hotspots

BOSTON (CBS) – Two Boston City Councilors want to turn public payphones into wifi hotspots.

Councilors Ayana Pressley and Felix Arroyo have proposed the idea.

The wifi service would be free and available to anyone within a few hundred feet of the payphone.

New York is already trying out the concept on about ten payphones around the city.
