BOSTON (CBS) – Animal rights group PETA is hoping its latest stunt, the purchase of a 100th anniversary brick at Fenway Park, will help convince Bostonians to stop eating lobsters.
The organization said on its website that it managed to sneak a subliminal message into the brick it purchased.
The brick reads “Lead Our Bo Sox To Early Runs! Late Inning Blasts! Easy Routs! A Trophy In Our Name!
The acronym is “LOBSTER LIBERATION.”
In addition to the no-lobster campaign, PETA said it hopes Red Sox fans will choose to enjoy the many vegetarian choices Fenway Park has to offer.
