Gresh & Zo: Can The Patriots Go 16-0 In Their Upcoming Season?

On Wednesday's show Gresh and Zo discuss predictions that the Patriots will have a 16-0 record in their upcoming season.

Pete Prisco, a NFL columnist at CBSSports.com, believes the Pats will have an undefeated regular season but lose in the Super Bowl. Gresh and Zo think this, and all 16-0 talk, is just downright silly.

"Really? 16-0 on the day before the start of training camp? That's the talk right now," yelled Gresh.

"That's absurd. That's hard to do; we've seen it," said Zo.

"This is the one discussion, with the one fan base, that you talk about the effects of being 16-0. Rip me all you want, I don't want them 16-0 because we saw a team that had veterans who had literally seen it all – Bruschi, Vrabel, Harrison – and you and I saw first-hand what it was like to deal with the mounting pressure of being undefeated and go for the perfect season," said Gresh. "This team is too young for that... I don't want this team anywhere near 16-0 and all the pressure."

"They're definitely one of the best teams in the AFC," said Zo. "I really don't think it matters if they're 15-1 or 10-6. Anything less than 13 wins is a bit of a disappointment but that's based on the type of bar they've set."

"I think if you're 13-3, you're in the mix for the number-one seed and that is all you can ask for," added Zo. "To pin 16-0 on this team is unfair right now."

What do you think? Do the Patriots have a shot at another 16-0 season?
