BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Celtics will open the 2012-13 NBA season in Miami against the Heat, according to a report by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The two teams will kick off the NBA season on Tuesday, October 30 with a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference finals.
It will also be the first time the Celtics will have to go head-to-head with former teammate Ray Allen, who departed Boston for Miami this off-season.

And if all that wasn’t enough, the Celtics will also have to watch the Heat raise their 2012 Championship banner. If it’s any consolation, at least LeBron James had to watch the Celtics raise their Championship hardware on opening night in 2008 as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The full NBA schedule is due out later this week.
