BOSTON (CBS) – The pastor kidnapped in Egypt returned to Boston on Sunday afternoon.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic reports.

Rev. Michel Louis was kidnapped, along with 39-year-old Lissa Alphonse of Everett and another man, while in Egypt earlier this month.

An Egyptian had kidnapped the group in an attempt to persuade Egyptian authorities to release his uncle from prison.

Pastor Louis spoke of his group’s Egyptian ordeal, how gunmen in three trucks stopped their bus, got on board and assaulted Alphonse.

“(The kidnapper) beat her, kick her, and put the gun on her,” said Pastor Louis.

The group was released by their kidnapper last week.

Pastor Louis got a big reception at the Jubilee Christian Church Sunday night at a special ceremony.

He asked members of the congregation to pray for his abductors.
