“What a weekend”, that’s what we will all be saying come Monday. And we deserve it after the recent heatwave, severe storms and today’s coolish weather. Speaking of today, it was a struggle to get temps to 70…we finished with a high of 71…more typical of May not July! We can thank the cloud deck and an onshore breeze. Tomorrow we’ll have the onshore breeze but we won’t have the clouds which is obviously a great thing and the sun will help us warm to around 80 degrees in the afternoon. At the coastline expect a seabreeze so temps will be held in the 70s.
High pressure will begin sliding south and east of us on Sunday, this will open the door for warmer and eventually more humid air to work back in to New England. The warmth will come in first so highs will reach the middle 80s on Sunday but the air will still be pretty comfortable.
By Monday, however, the humidity will be climbing and so will the mercury…highs will reach the upper 80s and there may be enough instability to trigger an afternoon or evening thunderstorm. A coldfront will sweep through on Tuesday giving us more of a chance for storms.
Enjoy the weekend everybody!
