Report: Lee Gets 4-Year, $21.5 Million Deal With Celtics

BOSTON (CBS) - While the trade itself is not yet official, Courtney Lee will eventually be signing a four-year, $21.5 million deal with the Boston Celtics, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

The entire deal would be guaranteed, according to Spears.

The Celtics and Rockets are still working to complete the sign-and-trade deal that would land the four-year shooting guard in Boston. It appears as though Houston will receive JaJuan Johnson, E'Twaun Moore, Sean Williams and a second-round pick, although Sasha Pavlovic could also be heading to Houston.

Last season, the 6-5 Lee averaged 11.4 points off 40-percent shooting for the Rockets. He's come off the bench the majority of his career, which included stops in Orlando and New Jersey before being dealt to the Rockets in 2010.

With Lee, the Celtics not only add another shooting guard for their bench but get younger in the process. The 26-year-old Lee is one of seven players under 27 on what has been an aging Celtics roster the past three years.

Lee will likely make up the second unit along with players like Jason Terry, Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox, but could see some early season starts should Avery Bradley need more time to recover from two off-season shoulder surgeries.
