FBI Trying To ID 'Bearded Bandit' Serial Bank Robber

BOSTON (CBS) – The FBI is looking for help identifying a serial bank robber they have dubbed the bearded bandit.

The Feds say the same man robbed banks in Seekonk, Massachusetts; Cranston, Warwick, and North Providence, Rhode Island.

The Bearded Bandit told tellers in all four robberies that he had a gun. He also threatened to harm them.

The string of robberies began on February 23 at the Bank of America on Fall River Avenue in Seekonk.

The bandit hit a Citizens Bank on Park Avenue in Cranston on April 16,
the Bank of America on Bald Hill Road in Warwick on May 7, and the Bank of America on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence on June 27.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
