WESTON (CBS) – In the fall, hunters will be able to use bows to hunt deer on town owned conservation land in Weston.
The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved the proposal.
The deer population in the town is skyrocketing. They hope reducing the population will decrease cases of Lyme disease.
Selectmen say the areas where bow hunting will be allowed will be clearly marked for safety. Hunters will also need to pass a proficiency test before getting a permit.
