PLYMOUTH (CBS) – A missing 12-foot-long python was captured Tuesday afternoon after it bit a man in Plymouth.
The snake originally got loose from its owner near South and Pleasant Streets.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Doug Cope reports
The man was bit on the leg as he walked by some bushes. “It wouldn’t let go, I started to wiggle my leg, I wanted to touch it but I was afraid it would attack me,” says Jerry Nerona. “I just stepped on the body and pulled my leg away.”
Nerona did not suffer serious injuries.
An Environmental Police officer was able to capture the reptile.
“Obviously it has been handled before because it was not too aggressive,” says Officer Bill Costello. “I just stood on its head and grabbed it by the neck and it came willingly.”
