MILTON (CBS) – A dump truck on Route 93 Southbound Monday afternoon dumped a load of gravel onto the roadway, causing traffic back-ups.
As of 2:40 p.m., State Police said that all three lanes were open to traffic. Originally, officials said the spill had left the highway “impassable.”
Police were attempting to open the HOV lane earlier than usual to help with traffic.
The clean-up was expected to take one to two hours.
It was not immediately clear whether the incident was expected to affect the evening commute.
