Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester
WORCESTER (CBS) – Parts of Lake Quinsigamond have been closed to swimming and fishing over health concerns.
Health officials in Worcester say sanitary sewer overflow in the area of 83 Lake Avenue forced them to shut down the area south of the Rt. 9 Bridge to Anna St. on their city’s side of the lake until further notice.
Regatta Point and the Lake Park State Beach are also off limits as a precaution.
City and State officials will sample and continue to monitor the affected area and notify the public when the advisory has been lifted.
