BOSTON (CBS)—You won’t need cash to pay for parking at five of the MBTA’s biggest commuter lots.

By August 1^st, credit and debit card readers will be installed at the Wonderland, Route 128, Alewife, Quincy-Adams and Braintree Stations.

Transportation Secretary Richard Davey says the option will allow the T to save more than $100,000 a year on payroll for garage personnel.
