Local Couple Decides To ‘Take The Plunge’ After Charity Swim Relay

BOSTON (CBS) – You know that old adage “take the plunge,” a local couple will probably be able to find the humor in that one.

On Friday, Kay Foley of Worcester and her boyfriend Jamie Mannion were among 75 swimmers who jumped into Boston Harbor for the 19th annual Swim Across America.

The 22-mile relay swim raises money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

At the end of the relay, Mannion grabbed the ring, got down on one knee on Rowe’s Wharf, and popped the question.

Foley said ‘yes.’
