Part of Route 24 was shut down after the crash in Stoughton.
STOUGHTON (CBS) – A 12-year-old girl was killed in a crash on Route 24 in Avon Thursday evening.
The single car rollover, originally reported to be in Stoughton, happened around 5 p.m.
Police arrived to find two woman and the young girl all lying in the roadway.
At least two of the victims had been ejected from the car.
Both adult victims were taken to Boston Medical Center, one by medflight, the other by ambulance.
Their conditions were not immediately available.
None of the victims have been identified.
Following the crash, both directions of the highway were shut down for a period of time.
Route 24 northbound remained closed for several hours as police investigated the cause of the crash.
