Robert Kraft Regrets Audition Video Went Public

BOSTON (CBS) -- Football fans were a little baffled when they went on the Internet Wednesday morning and saw 71-year-old Patriots owner Robert Kraft cursing in an audition video for his young female friend Ricki Noel Lander.

Kraft was quick to explain himself on Wednesday afternoon, though, issuing this statement to WBZ-TV:

"I tried to help Ricki prepare an audition tape for an upcoming Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy by reading Wilson's lines. I never intended that it would be made public and I regret that it has. I think we can all agree that Owen Wilson has nothing to worry about. I am going to stick to my day job."

The video was mostly humorous but was a bit shocking, nevertheless. The lines which Kraft read are vulgar and include some mature subject matter.

The video was meant to be seen by Vaughn and Wilson, who are making a movie called "The Internship" which is in production for next year.

Kraft has met with both actors in the past.  He was hoping his involvement in the video would differentiate it from other audition tapes that Vaughn and Wilson might receive.

The video, originally made public by Barstool Sports, has been taken off YouTube due to a copyright claim by Fox.
