Four Hurt In Ipswich 'Out Of Control' Boat Crash

IPSWICH (CBS) - Several people were thrown into the water when two boats collided in the Ipswich River Sunday night.

Police said one of the vessels was "unmanned and out-of-control" when it hit the other boat just before 8 p.m.

Witnesses in their boats rescued the people in the water and also jumped on board the out-of-control boat to stop it.

Three ejected boaters and one rescuer were taken to Beverly Hospital for treatment.

There's no word yet on what caused the crash.
